i wonder when will the dependent age restore to 22 since the prime minister announced it during their campaign and what would be the rules ?what can happen to those 20/21 year old children who applied last 2014-2015 but got removed from the application because of the age limit under 19 and almost 23 or already 23 now and all alone in their home country? i really hope there would be considerations if the change ever happens :( :(

No one know when this rule might change. We also don't know the answer to your second question. Unfortunately you'll just have to wait and see what happens when/if the rule is finally changed.

Why were they removed? IRCC applies the rules according to the ones that were in place at the time the application was received. Unless the application did not arrive at CIO until after the new rules to dependents were implemented.

My relatives applied in 2014, one dependent was 20 and the application arrived at CIO just a few weeks before IRCC changed the dependent age to under 19. The dependent was still counted in the application, and became PR as a dependent a few months ago at age 22.

@bellaluna sadly we applied last 2015 and she was removed from the application and i dont know if i will see my family complete again :/

Sorry to hear that. She will have to qualify on her own as an economic applicant, or you have to hope there are new streams that open in her favor. Good luck.

It depends when you submitted your PR application (month and year).

If there isn't money for your daughter to go to university, tell her to train as a live in caregiver and come under that program or apprentice a trade and apply under skilled trades.

No. She is too old to meet the definition of a dependent on the day you submitted your application.
