Hi Friends,

Im on a Panic situation...(One more month for wifes meidcal expiry and no passport request yet)



Send spoual application on Nov 2021 and her Medical done on April 7,2022

In between,we had a baby and we filled it.Babys medical was done on August,2022.


Online status shows " Decision made" since 3 months

We expect PPR together for wife and baby .But what if they forgot and wifes medical expire early next month?

Can we send a reminder email via IRCC webpage (If so what reasons we could mention)

I just received passport request for my wife and bay via delhiimmigation email.

But they send letter in oledata.mso zip file.

We cant open the file..


Can some one help please....

IRCC could but it's not common. As long as parents are on the child's birth certificate, DNA testing is not usually required.
But IRCC can request it if they decided to.

That is incorrect. The parent(s) sponsoring the child must remain in Canada if they are a PR. A short visit should be overlooked but that means 2-3 weeks not 2-3 months.

Posted processing times are often incorrect. It also sounds like you are sponsoring the child with at least one parent living in Canada which is required if you are PRs so application may be processing primarily in Canada. Most applications are being processing in under a year.

If you are a PR the sponsoring parent(s) must remain in Canada during the sponsorship period. A short visit seems to be overlooked but that means 2-3 weeks not months. If you are concerned about showing that you have the funds to support your family you should be working and not taking large period off of work.

As long as you can prove that you can support your family without government support like welfare you should be fine. Whatever salary you have is fine as long as your salary and savings cover you cost of living with a bit extra for emergencies and increased costs when your family arrives in Canada.

In child sponsership : in my case we did soft landing in 2022 and now my wife about to deliver in 2.5 months in home country out of canada.
In future when we sponser the child, do we need any document related to income tax return of 2022 of canada?
Should we file income tax return for 2022 or not required?
Anyone who gone through child sponsership can please state which document needed
