:( hello sir
I went canada on nanny visa in dec 2005. But in 2007 when I applied for new work permit , they call me for an interview. Because some body complain to immigration that I am working on a store illegally , but actually that was my relatives store where I just went to help them in my free time. But anyhow Immigration officer does not believe me and gave me departure order. Said to leave canada in 30 days. I left canada within the given time but instead I came back to my country with proper channel I entered in USA illegally. And stay there 4 years and came back to my home country in 2012. Now I want reapply for canada on live in caregiver base. Am I eligible to apply . Do you think I will get visa. Please provide me some help. I really want to settle in canada for my kids better future.
Thanks

If you complied with CIC's departure order then by now you may be eligible to apply for a work permit. However, if CIC determines that you entered the U.S. illegally either by your own addmission or through shared information with relevant American authorities then I doubt you'll ever be allowed to enter Canada again.

Best of luck!

Please remember that US and Canada shared information. The first part that you have left canada is only partially completed because you are supposed to go home to your country of residence but instead you went to the USA and stayed there illegally. The operative word here is illegally. If you are going back to canada you will have to surpassed two test questions, 1. is have you been deported from canada or have you stayed illegally in any other country in which yes would be your response. This is a strong hurdle make sure a registered immigration lawyer not a consultant will be retained throughout your next application. Cheers

It's not true. A person is supposed to leave Canada only. It doesn't matter for home country or not. Don't mislead people. Another question is how she got to USA. But it's another story.
