Demand Draft (DD) from India will not valid for fees payment

hi,
ICICI bank is giving 6 months validity.I took a dd from icici bank only.and today i got a mail from cic that they encashed my dd on june 2nd and i got per also.definitly icici bank in india will give dd with 6 months validity.its for sure.pls try it.

1. Is it possible to get DD from ICICI bank without an account by giving cash?
2. What are the formalities. I am an NRI.

There is no problem with Corporation bank. Corporation Bank is the NAME of the bank and not run by some minor or local corporation. I think what prarthna understood was co-operative bank.
I submitted a DD by corporation bank for my wife and it was accepted by NDVO.

Mine DD was issued on 5-Aug-2014 from HDFC Bank, and I don't see anything written about validity on the DD.

And it is yet to be encashed and its more than 3 months now.

If anyone have any concrete proof will be highly appreciated.

Do not worry guys. I too had a DD issued from HDFC bank and was initially told that it is valid for 3 months.

However later on with multiple queries with senior bank manager it was confirmed that all international DD are valid for 6 months.

I have received my PER and DD was cashed after 5 months from date of issue.

I would like to know while the beneficiary is "Receiver General for Canada" which place does the Demand Draft have to be issued to ? Is there a city one should mention as Banks require this.

Congrats on your visa! I'm at the stage of paying fees for my application by Demand draft. I have the same query as you once had. Can I know at which city the Demand draft is payable please.

Depending on your VO. for NDVO it will be New Delhi
