Dears
Please advise
A lady holding PR but did not apply for health isnurance as she soft landed and went back home.
She is pregnant
If she got back to Canada to deliver her baby
Would the costs of delivery be covered without insurance ?
I am curious what is the case if she delivers home then go to canada, will the child automatically be a resident or not?
Just to expand on what Canuck said if a baby is born outside Canada to Canadian citizen parents or one of parents is Canadian then the child will be a Canadian at birth. If a child is born to PRs outside Canada then the PRs will need to sponsor the child to become a PR given the new born gains no residency advantage in Canada if born to PRs outside Canada.I am curious what is the case if she delivers home then go to canada, will the child automatically be a resident or not?
How easy is it to obtain pr for a baby born outside canada if the parents are permanent residents?Just to expand on what Canuck said if a baby is born outside Canada to Canadian citizen parents or one of parents is Canadian then the child will be a Canadian at birth. In either case of course the new born will require travel documentation to travel to Canada whether is as a new citizen with a Canadian passport or a passport for the country of birth together with a TRV if not visa exempt.

Is it the same process for express entryIt's just a matter of time. One parent needs to remain in Canada while they apply.

Will the parents need to do any extra work or only medicals maybe for the new born?No more similar to spousal sponsorship.
