Hi,

Economically considering, my preferance goes to Jet Airways for a trip on the route Del-YYZ. The inflight service is not bad and you have only less waiting time on transit.

If you prefer better inflight service you should pay little more ticket fare. In that case I would suggest Luftansa.

If you are looking for still more better service, choose Etihad Airlines. Also Qatar and Emirates are providing good service. The route will be via any of the Middle east sector ( Abu dhabi, Doha or Dubai) according to the airline. The advantage of these airlines are the fleet they operate on Europe, US and Canada sector are new.

In light of the recent terror threat, i'd recommend skipping London, Amsterdam and Paris as a transit point. This is mainly because these are some of the busiest airports in europe and with additional security travelling would be inconvenient through these hubs. That means you might not want to consider Jet airways, Air India, Air france, KLM and British Airways.

I have travelled through Zurich (Swiss air) and they provide excellent service while Zurich is a hassle free transit point.

I have had family and friends travel through Frankfurt (Lufthansa) and they have enjoyed their flight as well.

I would imagine most of the airlines fromthe middle east i.e. Emirates, Etihad, Qatar would offer the same level of service as the european ones.

One last word...no matter what airline you choose double check the allowable no of check in baggage and hand baggage 24 hrs before departure so that you are completely aware of the new laws that are being enforced.

Have a good flight!

Hi,

mtlguy has hit the nail correctly. These are the flights I had taken earlier (2008-2009), though from Dubai; and the prices should be taken as a guideline only.

Dubai-Toronto-Dubai:
BA: ............ via London ............. Dhs. 5,400/- ............... 10:00-14:00-16:00-19:30
Emirates: .... Direct .................... Dhs. 6,100/- ............... 09:30-15:00
Etihad: ....... Direct .................... Dhs. 5,950/- ............... 10:30-16:00
KLM: .......... via Amsterdam ........ Dhs. 4,500/- ............... 02:00-06:00-14:00-16:00

Thus, KLM seems the best option -pricewise, if awkward timings are OK with us. However, overall BA is quite good; while KLM runs nice schemes off-n-on and lately they offerred around Dhs. 3,500/- for their winter promotion. Service wise, KLM is pretty cool too.

Hope that helps.
