Hi,

Predictions are not reliable in the matter of CIC PR procesing timelines. In your case, a rare possibility is that being you are out of your native country, the background check could take more time than usual. If you have to leave US early and if the PR application processing at Buffalo is not finalized within that period, what will you do?.

Therefore, I don't recommend to submit the application at Buffalo. Think well, wait for other opinions and take an appropriate decision.

If you are in US , you need to apply to Buffalo Office Only...!! I spoke to a representative in Canada today...!! However, then based on the situation you can get your file transfered... basically they do no send the file by courier from Buffalo to New Delhi..It is Electronic Transfer of File..!!

Even I consider my file being tranffered from Buffalo to New Delhi Office..later on..!! As Mailing document from US to India is not that safe!

Hi All
The transfer of file from one office to another is not allowed anymore..

As it's clearly mentioned in CIC website that transfer will happen by visa officer only and only to protect immigration program sanctity..Not for any other reason including moving of the applicant out of the territory of the visa office where it was sent first..

cheers!
