Hi Everyone,

Can someone pls explain to me what does the delay in getting in process update means? Is it related to the background check by any chance ?

I got AOR on July 10 and still waiting. The thing is most of the applicants after me got it weeks ago.

Thanks

Your application is yours and yours alone. Your circumstances will be different to everyone elses. Seeing applicants who applied after you be processed sooner is frustrating, but the system isn't first in first out (nor should it be). Their applications and personal circumstances are possibly less complicated than yours, or they simply happen to be located somewhere with less demand on their local visa office.

So the delay in getting in process update isn't a "delay" at all. This is just how long your application is taking. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do to speed it up, and no real information you can get about it while you're within the 12 month stated processing time frame.

It's not even been 2 months since you got your AoR... This is totally normal.

Thanks All,
My point is trying to understand what it may technically mean rather than a complaint. I totally understand that it is not too bad, but still wondering why late compared with most fellows here.
I was just want to get an idea of for example, security, background checks, ect, are involved to delay the trigger or these are a later stage process.
Thanks
