Deleting Job Match Account

Hello,

I am in a bit of a tricky situation and would appreciate any help. I had to delete my old Express Entry profile because I became aware that I answered some questions incorrectly, and not wanting to misrepresent myself, I withdrew the profile. I have submitted the new one, however I have to have a Job Match account with a matching EE profile number in order for the account to be active again.

I cannot figure out how to delete my old account, and start a new one with the new number. Has anyone else had to do this?

I really want to get this done before the next draw in case I miss out.

Thank you in advance!

You can always edit and update your changes in EE, when you think the information is incorrect - NO need to delete the entire profile ;) ( will end up in situations like this).

But, every problem there is a solution/alternative , here in your case, when you said you created your new EE profile, you should get your new EE profile # ( job validation code will be the same coz those are the last four digits of your passport #), try to add a new job bank profile with your new EE profile # and when CIC access your profile, they will see the active EE profile and associated job bank details and presumably they don't/can't access the job bank details associated with a Inactive profile ( Its all guess my work as EE is purely software dependent - software selects based on the data provided ). I strongly recommend to find a way to delete or deactivate the first job bank account - ask our best frnd, Google!! ;D

Hello,

I also face the same situation...
Did you find a way to delete the job bank account or update the profile no?
The only way I could find is re-register with a different enail id...

I couldn't delete mine either, all we can do is leave it. If you don't have a CV uploaded, there isn't much chance of anyone offering you a job anyway. Classic CIC; "you must delete your job match account, even though it's impossible to do so"

Job Bank
If you submit a new Express Entry profile, you will get a new Express Entry profile number. You will also have to create a new profile in Job Bank under this new number.

If you decide not to submit a new Express Entry profile, you must deactivate your Job Bank account. You must also remove any references that you are a candidate for Express Entry from any private job board websites, if you used any.

I am just having this same issue. I had my first residency application rejected, now I need to start EE again and activate my Job Match account with my new EE profile number and job seeker code but I already have an account. I can't work out how to link them up or change the profile number and job seeker code, which would obviously be the simplest thing to do. So then I would prefer to delete and register again with the same email address but I can't do that? Now I am registering with a new email address but that email address does not match my cic email! Why does everything have to be so complicated?! :( if anyone has any helpful tips on how to make this easier it would be appreciated.

Right on the home page, there is an option to activate/ deactivate the profile. I think it is called 'Profile status'.

I was in similar situation and I got an email from CIC that to deactivate one of the job bank profile.

This is what email read

"To continue using Job Bank’s Job Match service, you must activate the Job Match profile within the account you wish to keep: to do so, sign in to one account, and click on the “Activate Profile” button located at the top right under “Status”. "

If they've added in that option since June then great.

I had my first application rejected in June and had to reapply. This meant creating a new Job Bank account and the people at job bank told me the only way to create a new account was with a completely new email address. They couldn't de-activate my old account to free up my old email address.

This meant my express entry profile had to be created under the same new email address.

So yes I had to create a whole new email account just to achieve this.

Nothing is simple with EE!
