In order to be more efficient my husband and I decided to send our application via Canada Post using their "next AM service". The only problem is that they do NOT deliver on what they promise.

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue, and how long it actually took for your package to be delivered.

So many emotions go into sending this package, that any delays or issue further agravate you...

Anyway, I hope it gets there soon!

I found this too. It says on the envelope "Next Day" but then they tell you at the counter it is 2 business days?? So their advertising is misleading for sure.

I sent mine on May 17 and they received it May 19. Correct me if I am wrong but that is NOT the next day... ::)

It all depends on when you send it, if its later on in the day when the truck has already left then it will be the day after obv. Most trucks leave by 9 in the mornings and don't pick up the mail again till in the evening

I had too many bad stories with Canada Post. I dont used them anymore, fedex is more reliable. When they say its next morning, its next morning...and before 9am, not noon like Canada Post says.

Yup I go with fedex too!

I wish I had read this somewhere before I went with Canada Post...Now I just have to sit and wait....

This SUCKS!

Well next time in case I have to send any additional papers, I will use fedex for sure!

Well Canada Post is "postal service" whereas Fedex is a courier. There is a big difference in the level of service and of course the cost. We used the "prepaid national xpresspost" envelope to have the passport returned for my husband as instructed and it was mailed from Fort Erie on Wed morning but Canada Post decided to leave it in Richmond on Friday morning instead of attempt to deliver before the long weekend within the 2 day expected delivery time.

My hubby used xpresspost 3 day and it got there in 2 days - from the "middle of nowhere" Alberta. I was quite happy.

Most Canadians I've spoke with (inlaws and small business owners, since I am/will be one in Canada, I'm speaking with a lot of folks to learn all the ins and outs) hate FedEx and much prefer Canada Post.

My husband works for Canada Post ;D

It might just be Quebec then... LOL

Not sure, but it is so damn frustrating that you pay for one thing, and you don't get it. On top of that you work so hard to put everything together, emotions are high, it just messes with my head and it makes me nervous...

By the way, not a single update on the Canada Post website for my package since last night at midnight...

sigh*** I guess our patience is getting tested very early on

Canada Post post is one of the slowest mailing services...

my next AM delivery day had come after 5 days !!! No wonder I chose not to go with Fedex paying them higher charges and suffered by delay in my application...
