Today called CIC they given a very vague response saying that just be happy living and dont call about the application as people are dying with Corona and you want your citizenship, I asked that lady then why did you collect the fee and clearly mentioned in CIC website, that we accepting new applications this is too much, she simply hung up, I know people here are waiting since November for at least AOR, but how fair it is for the Government to open movie theaters and beaches and shopping malls but not one processing citizenship applications? even thought they charged my family around $2000 in this very hardships with out jobs.., I am just sharing here, just dont know where to show my frustration that is all, nothing else..
Here are some links where Canada opening movie theaters and parks and beaches, I have more links to share but may be all of them are not credible so just shared few I believe are credible ..

https://atlantic.ctvnews.ca/day-20-without-new-covid-19-case-in-nova-scotia-no-remaining-active-cases-1.5004511

As per today, NS has 20 days with no active cases and the province is planning to resume travel within Atlantic Canada by July 3.
NS is where applications are received before being dispatched and the fed government employees cannot go back to work by following specific guidelines?
People will say we should not be asking questions and just be patient and wait. COVID 19 is here to stay, this is the new normal now and IRCC need to adapt.

IRCC never disappoints you with their slowness that they process things in months, where in other parts of world things move by days.

In the UK, I got my citizenship in 3 months. It was few years ago.
How long does British naturalisation take?
Most British naturalisation applications take between 3-4 months to be processed. Straight forward applications can be decided within 2 months, and more complex can take up to 6 months. Processing times will also vary depending on the Home Office's caseload.

SHAME on IRCC!

Relax guys, it's Canada, where the government is not accountable to its constituents (which is still better than where I came from LOL). There's nothing you or I can do about it...

Yes the entire British naturalization took 3 months for me.
But bear in mind you can't land in the UK on PR status like in Canada.
You have to renew your immigration visa twice and apply for PR after the completion of 5 years in the UK.

Also naturalization fee in the UK per person is £1330 or CAD2230. Which is far expensive then Canadian citizenship grant which is just CAD600.
And UK Citizenship requirements are tougher than Canada too.

I am no psychic but no supernatural powers of divination necessary to recognize the high probability the other side of this story has a rather different take on how that went down, or even what went down.

Which leads to guessing there was, one might discern, a thwarted shot along these lines:
I am just sharing here, just dont know where to show my frustration that is all, nothing else..
Plenty of that going round these days.

I suppose my side of this, just sharing my frustration here, nothing more, is how much of this sounds like a room of pre-schoolers who missed their nap.

OK, sure, this is likely to be dismissed as dismissive (irony intended), no matter how many rant topics are started and the same old same old is thrown about like primates in a feces fight.

Might as well address this with mixed metaphors. Not as if there is much grounded in reason let alone logic happening on this front.

But there is, nonetheless, an overriding aspect of this which warrants repeating as much as the diatribes are:

As much as things are in a mess currently, IRCC will sort things out and begin the process of getting things back on track.

Sure, there will be a new-normal, eventually, which for a long while is not likely to mean things go as smoothly or at all as quickly (to the extent that "quickly" ever described the bureaucratic processing of Canadian citizenship applications) as they did previously, and they will likely not go as smoothly, and they will for sure go a lot less quickly, than scores of immigrants and applicants prefer. But things will be headed back toward getting the work done, even if in the meantime disparaging other Canadians is a forum past time. Including disparaging those who disparage. (Do I hear a growing cacophony of "you started it" coming from that room of pre-schoolers?) Acknowledging that feces wrapped in high brow language are made of the same stuff as the crudest insults.

Yeah, lots of sharing frustrations to go around. In every direction.

I wish people would jus be patient. EVERYONE has been delayed, why are you calling IRCC knowing full well they are affected by Covid-19 and processing has slowed. You're not at risk of getting deported or anything like that so why the stress?! Covid is enough stress man Chill.
