Dear experts
I received per 21 October, second line updated in dec 5,when raised inquiry ,got answer as below

You are further advised that your file has been reviewed by a visa officer and is now pending further verifications.

For now, there is no action required on your part. Please be assured that as soon as the verifications are completed, the next steps in this application will be determined and you will be contacted. Until then, we will not be able to provide any additional information on this case.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

I need further explanation from experts
I don't think any VO would share externally why they take longer time on one case as compared to another and applicant won't know what exactly causes the delay unless he/she is contacted on a specific issue. You may want to hear more from those who have opened a case to track the status. Perhaps the responses from VO will give you an indication as to what possibly the reason for your specific case.

In the meantime, if you want to make a guess, please focus on 3 areas: 1> Eligibility, 2> Security and 3> Criminality.

- Is there any reason at all for you to be given a total point lower than 67 (service time for jobs relevant to NOC, miscalculation of IELTS points, Canada equivalency of your degree,...). Amongst these, I think IELTS score and degree equivalency are straight forward and should take no time to decide.
- Is there any potential issue with the person or the company who signed the employment letter for you?
- Is there any possible inaccurate info declared in your application (even by mistake)?
- Do you have a 100% clean police certificate?
....

The more you can share, the better people can help you if they have run into similar issues. Best of luck!
