Delay of Getting Work Permit

Hello Everybody



I have applied for my WORK Permit Extension on 15.04.2022. More than three and half months have passed, I have not received the permit yet



In the response document again, it is mentioned as



This confirms that your application has been received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship
Canada (IRCC) on __________April 15, 2022___________ (yyyy/mm/dd).
Please attach this letter to your present work permit Number U********* as proof that you are authorized to continue working with the same conditions (ie: employer and occupation) until 13.08.2022 or until a decision is made on your application, whichever is first.



I have filled a web form and asked IRCC and they have given just an automated reply, no new information in it.



Nowadays, the process is taking so long. Any idea that if I do not get my new work permit by 13.08.2022, then what to do?



I am really very anxious.

My situation is different than yours but I am still waiting for my work permit, I applied on Feb 2022 and still nothing (initial work permit inside canada) so don't get anxious, we all are on the same boat, they must have a huge backlog because of COVID.

On the document you mention it says you can continue to work with the same conditions until 13.08.2022 or UNTIL A DECISION IS MADE ON YOUR APPLICATION, whichever is first, so you are good, it does not matter if you don't get it before the 13
