Dear All,
I have been regular follower of this forum as a “guest”, and in the past have received valuable advice, which has been helpful for my PR application processing. Hence, today I am seeking advice regarding my mother’s supervisa application processing time.
I am a Canadian PR (since 2012), and my mother is an Indian citizen. She had visited Canada for 3 months on a toursit visa back in 2013. This year, I applied for her supervisa online; significant dates as follows:
Application date – July 24, 2015
Medicals were done prior to submission of the application on June 16, 2015 – when the panel physician had asked her to go for the 3-day sputum test (she never had TB though), and after two months – August 26/2015, she got a negative result for TB. She was then asked by the panel physician to consult a chest-specialist, who gave her a clean chit. All information was submitted on August 26, 2015 by the panel physician. We heard back on August 28, 2015 from the Delhi Visa Office (high-commission) that on September 17, 2015 (3 months from her initial testing), she needed to do another X-ray, and take a second opinion from a chest specialist. This process was also completed, and there were no problems with any medicals – and the panel physician passed it on to the high-commission.
However, since then, it is one month now, and we haven’t heard back from the high-commission at all. Further, there is no status update when we check online – which still states “medical information required”.
This is very frustrating as originally I had planned to bring her in Canada before the winters, and now it looks unlikely.
If anyone had gone through this, please advice if I just need to wait, or there is something I can do that will help expedite processing of the application.
Thanks in advance.
