Delay in Indian PCC - Should I Decline ITA? (441 score)

Hello,

I received my ITA on Dec 19 and while I was able to gather all other documents, my Indian PCC is being delayed. I initiated the PCC process at the end of Jan, but due to delays at the local police station, my pcc has been delayed. I have gathered all the other documents and this is the only outstanding item. Should I decline my invitation and wait to be picked again? or should I explain my situation and ask for an extension?

I have read somewhere when sending out my documents that if PCC is not ready within the 60 day period, we can send the documentation proving that we requested for PCC and it is getting delayed. You can email your police station and put that as well, as a proof. Better call CIC and make sure. I think it is not a good idea to decline invitation just because of PCC. Let's see what others have to say.

What’s your score? If it’s well above the cut off, then go ahead and delay it. You can always get the ITA in the next round. Also, make sure you are getting the PCC from Passport Seva Kendra (PSK). There have been issues with local police station certificates in the past.

My score is 441. Yes, I am getting it through PSK. I called my local police station, they informed me that because I have lived at my current address less than a year, I need to visit the RPO.
I'm just unsure if the next draw will be lower than 441.

Thank you for your response. That is what I am leaning towards as well - thinking of uploading a letter in place of PCC.
