Yes but I don't think applying earlier helps. I applied on 29 March 2018. It's more than two months hence, I have a flight next week and the visa is still being processed according to the tracking status! The processing time was 18 days when I submitted. I even had to cancel my US visa appointment. And would likely be losing out on all the money invested. This is such a sad state of affairs.

I understand how frustrating it is and unfortunate when you invest time and money into something... however it is never a good idea to book a trip and flights until you have the visa and passport in your hand....

Hi,
I am a student and I have got my student permit for 5 years in canada. However my parents applied for their visitor visa on 6th July 2018 and still have not received any visa. We are scheduled to fly on the 31st August the day my uni starts . A lot of my friend's parent's visa got approved fro 10 days to 2 weeks. Really stressed out at the moment. Can anyone give any details from where I can contact the embassy in Delhi about it?

Hope your parents are not moving with you for the time that you will be studying.

You can send a IRCC web form to NDVO to request for expedited decisions:

Or an email:
