It happened finally, some movement! After countless web forms sent with no response I finally see an update today when I check my ECAS, they’ve scheduled me for an interview on June 13th. I am currently still outside Canada and have sent them emails asking if I can take oath from abroad several times when they requested my passport pages again in March.
Has anyone that’s given their test outside and still outside Canada given an interview?
What should I expect? Just trying to stay prepared so I am able to get this thing moving!

Hi all,

I have applied online for citizenship on June 4, 2022. My question is " Can i travel outside Canada in November 2022?"

It seems they put your file on hold if you're outside. I just get this feeling.
Now I'm back and sent them boarding pass. Let's see if things speed up a bit.
BTW, my PR card expiry date is Oct 2nd which means I have to enter before the midnight of Oct 2nd which was exactly what I did.
My PR card had 30 mins left when I crossed the border and the agents laughed...

Good data point on last minute entry.

Are you sending the boarding pass by email or webform? If it's webform you can expect some delays.

E-mail to the processing office (the one that sent you test email).

Welcome back. Glad it went smoothly at the border, and good information to know regarding arriving just before expiration. Good thing you didn't experience flight delays. Hopefully IRCC will finish up your application soon now that you're back. Keep us posted!

Shh don't tell IRCC, or they might delay your application and/or passport even longer

Hey Folks,

I am in a similar (Outside Canada) situation, applied online in March 2022, AOR in April 2022, got my BG Completed on October 25, 2022 and received test invitation on October 27, 2022 (Window: Oct 31 - Nov 21, 2022).

I passed my test from Outside Canada on November 1, 2022 and until now my online tracker is still showing test in progress / 'waiting on you'.

What do you think would happen in our situation? Any idea?

I am so stressed not knowing what will happen next. Some people here in this forum mentioned that my file will be put on hold until I return back. Please advise what should I do next.

Appreciate your feedback on this.
