Degree Certificate or Transcripts

Hi,

As a language proof I am planning to attach the copy of my degree certificate of my MSc degree in Canada. The degree is more than 5 years old, so I dont have to show the educational record etc. In addition I have same degree sealed by the university which I can submit (this was given in sealed format to me on my request but was stamped in 2011).

I DO NOT plan to attach transcripts as ordering transcripts will cost me $25 more + time.

Is submitting just degree certificate as a language proof is enough (plus sealed degree as a additional proof) or Transcripts is a must?

Thanks in advance.

If it's just as a language proof, and it's from a Canadian institute, a degree certificate should be enough.

Is your degree from canada or from outside? your degree should be sufficient if it states that it has been completed successfully. If it does not say the language of instruction was english then you need a letter from university that the medium of instruction was english.

Degree is from CANADIAN institute. But to the best of my knowledge, No degree certificate will say whether instructions were in English.

I think degrees/courses done in canada does not require letter of language of instruction from the institute:

Check this as per the application guide:

Note: You must have successfully finished a secondary or post-secondary program in English or French. A single course done in English or French does not meet the requirement. If the original document is in a language other than English or French then you must also include a letter from the academic institution indicating that the language of instruction was in English or French along with an official translation of the original document.

If you can still get the letter and attach to the application, it won't harm either.
