Degree assessment under FSWP NOC code 1112

Hi guys,
I am practising chartered accountant specilaised in Finance only.My duties are analysis of financial statements, ratio analysis,cash flow analysis to advice to the management to take final decision for various option of raising finance.

our ICAI ( The Institute of chartered Accountants of India) also entered in to MRA (Mutual Recognition Agreement) with The canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.Under this I got registered with The Institute of chartered Accountants of ontario.I got the assessment from them and they have accepted my degree, articleship experience also.I have to pass only 3 subjects to get the membership of ICAO(Institute of chartered Accountants of ontario).
Now My question is, To apply under FSWP, degree assessment report of ICAO is valid and acceptable by CIC?

Please advice.Your advice would be highly appreciated.

Hello Jiju,

What did it take for you to register with The Institute of chartered Accountants of ontario? My wife is a CA 2004 pass out, with 6+ years of experience in India. I am considering to apply under the new FSW 2013 soon, Not yet started though.

I would like my wife to register with CICA (Canada institute of chartered accountants). I would like her to have canada equivalent so that it helps in our migration process later on.

My second question is, does CA degree get you only 23 out of 25? Quite strange, as even MCOM get 23 point under FSW program. I thought CA should have got higher recognisation.


Lastly, if you have read the WES documents requirement, do you know if CA should be mapped to Higher education or Doctored PHD..?
