Hi!

The Citizenship and Immigration Canada webpage states that one of the prerequisites to be eligible to study in Canada is "You must have been accepted by a school, college, university or other educational institution in Canada."

Can anyone help me clarify the definition of "educational institution", so that I become aware of what the crucial characteristics of an educational institution, for the purpose of applying for a study permit, are?

Thanks in advance

Educational Institution generally covers Post Secondary Private Schools which are duly authorised to impart education and receive atleast 50 percent of their funding from the Government.

At present most of these Institutes are in Quebec.

educational institution must be registered under government of canada and preferably public funded.
