Deferral policy at SFU

If I applied for visa, could I request a deferral for one semester from university?
Then what will be happened to visa?
Should I say this to embassy?

IF, you are running out of time, and u think you will not be able to get visa before the starting of the classes (or even first 10 days), than request the deferral letter from university. Once you get it, Forward it to Canadian High Commission, so they know the update / status of your application in order to process. They might reconsider the application coz u got the deferral instead of rejecting and ask you to submit fresh application.

what will happen if I do not tell embassy? I've heard after getting visa you have six months to go to Canada, so I could go in second semester and the visa is valid. am I right?

Can VO of CHC ISB grant me study permit on extension letter?

I am bit worry bcoz my classes of ACCA is starting from 25th of July 2011 and receive one month extension letter? i am waiting till 25 August and also waiting for medical call. While the extension letter will be more extended if i have to write to college.

Can i give enquiry by giving prority to fax or e-mail? I also e-mail to CHC but they are not replying

What do you think, Can extension letter +ive/-ive influence my chances to grant a study permit?

At port of entry, the will ask about this issue, that y din't u joined your fall session when u had the chance. You will have to put a solid reason to back that up. You can show deferral letter at Port Of Entry to satisfy them about this change.

What do you mean by defferal letter?
Letter of acceptance issued from college or extension letter


Hopefully if we grant study permit then i am more confident to satisfy officer at port of entry.

Thank you for your reply. Do you think if I send my deferral letter to embassy while they are processing my application, would they ask me to send new bank statement or other documents?
