Deferral after issuance of study Visa

I have my visa issued for January intake. However, due to some personal reasons i cannot leave for Canada for this intake and got my admission deferred to next intake that is Sept 2015. Do I have to inform Embassy about it? My visa is valid till march 2017 so thats not an issue. Only thing that is concerning me is if I have to inform Canadian Embassy about not arriving in Canada for January intake. I plan to leave by June or July (will do odd job in the meantime). Please comment if you have solid info over it.
