Hi everyone!

I applied in July 20 (non-sds) with no biometrics and medical. Got BIL in july 21 then, no further updates. As September intake is approaching, i am in a dilemma of what to do.

Shall i defer to jan 2021? I previously deferred from may to sept; now sept to jan. Will that be bad to defer twice? Or just like everybody wait.

Also, will you guys prefer online study if you get approval in principal early?

You can defer again if you want. You can start online with your application in process but of course it is a risk as you may be unable to get a refund from the school if you begin classes and your application is then refused.

Have you received the correspondence letter or they start reviewing your eligibility? If not, then you should wait a little bit.

For deferring, yes it is bad to defer twice. But due to the current situation, I think it is understandable - you should check with the program coordinator for this.

Since according to the information IRCC, if the application is complete (given all documents submitted: Biometrics, medical examination, and additional documents - if necessary), then the application will be pushed into stage 2 of consideration.

Personally, I am uncertain how long/when they release the decision of application - they said study permit is their priority!!!. I also have applied study permit since May, and my application complete - Review Eligibility started with correspondence letter. Until now it is August I have not received new update...still waiting the decision for Sept. intake.

No, I haven’t received correspondence letter or eligibility review.

I think i will wait for time being.

I am waiting for today's webinar will they stick by their words said on 24th July that fall applicant will get there decision before the term start or if they direct the whole thing towards new rule that the students who have applied for visa before Sept 15 can take online class even if they don't have AIP and it will be counted for pgwp, then we can be assured that it's going to take longer time to get the decision

Push them hard for it bro!!!. They should give out the decision for incoming students with completed application. Because schools in Canada now are open back with restrictions, and it is inconsistent with what they expect students to take online class (some classes and research activities require in-person component). I wish you have a new update and good decision soon. Be updates with this thread!
