Hello,

I am interested to know the reason behind the declining Express Entry Intake (for ITAs) since March 2016.

If anybody on this forum has any inkling about this topic. Please let me know.

Thanks,
Sameer

Hello Prashant,

Thank you for sharing this info with me. It explains a lot.
I hope that the intake picks up bit though.

I hope the reduction in intake does not accelerate further.

Regards,
Sameer

OINP will start taking new application before end of November.

Yes, I understand that but, isn't there any other reason for the decline? I mean what are the other factors on which the number of ITAs depends?

And is there any way that we can know when the next round will take place?

It depends on number of successful processed applications.

You can get idea from below link.

The main factors are the total number of economic immigrants allowed in any given year and from what we have seen the size of the backlog of pending applications, still needing to be processed.

The year-end report for EE showed that around 13,000+ applications were still being processed but not finalized so it is not unreasonable to expect that they are using the current slowdown to catch up and that the number of ITAs issues will increase again later this year.
