Considering this if any of experience cannot be proved through a letter from employer, its better not to put it and if the ITA is already received, its better to decline it and redo the profile
Instead of declining you can update the info in work history when you recive ITA. ( as long as it does not decrease score ) and then you will just need to upload documents just for jobs you have showed. and you can still keep all record in personal history..

Are you sure about this? I am in the same situation. I cannot obtain the reference letter - its far from possible and I had chosen the "Yes" for "Do you have a job offer?".

I have tried deleting Jobs after getting ITA and It takes off requirement to submit different reference latter.

I you have Any proof for those jobs ( like pay stubs and T4 ) scan and make a PDF with explanation letter for all works you have not included in work history and submit a file in extra documents )
That is what I am doing instead asking all who know same as us fore express entry ( including CIC call center agents and immigration agents )

Hi everyone I have a query, I haven't got foreign work experience. After I submitted EE profile, it said "CRS - Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience 0".

My question, do I still have to provide employment letter to CIC while I apply for PR ?
Thanks.

So did you forcing the change from FSW to CEC work after you applied? I mean did they accept your CEC PR application and not raise any issue since you changed from FSW.

Hi guys I have received ITA for FSW, but I originally wanted to apply under CEC. Can I update my profile (I should lower founds as far as I understood) while I'm the process or should I decline it and update it and wait for another draw or should I just proceed with FSW? Thanks

You cannot change the current ITA to a CEC class ITA. You'll have to decline this ITA, make changes to the profile that renders you ineligible for FSW and wait for another ITA.

I calculated my FSW score that would be 70 points. Should I just proceed? Hints?

The only real difference is that you will be required to show POF.

Many good things already mentioned. Just to be clear, you have two options:

1) Apply under current ITA and remove the work experience which you can't get evidence for.

If you do this, make 100% sure that you:

a) still meet the minimum eligibility criteria (especially 67 points in FSW system), and
b) still have more CRS points than the cut-off score in the draw that you were invited under

You must check this manually - the CIC website will not do it for you. If you make a mistake, it may take a while for this to be uncovered and you may lose your application fee and (potentially a lot of) time.

Also, include an LoE and explain why you changed your profile.

2) Decline ITA and make yourself ineligible under FSW, and remove the work experience which you don't want to claim points for. Then you will get invited under CEC provided you still have enough CRS points to make the cutoff of the upcoming draws (there is never a guarantee).

If you qualify for both, you will always be invited under FSW.

Hi Dexmoody, thx for the reply. I actually can provide evidence of my working experience, that's not an issue for me, as I have a letter of employment. So, just for curiosity, bringing founds down to 0 in the profile is not enough to get excluded from FSW?

AFAIK, setting funds to zero would be enough.

But why do you want to do this? Don't you have the funds?

If you can prove all your work experience and you have the funds, just go ahead and apply under FSW. There is no benefit in applying under CEC except for those two points.

  • Dear friends,

Sorry for explaining it in detail. I am afraid that misrepresentation of any information could lead to ban of 5 years from applying PR. That's why I need more clarifications. I have 3 continuous years (2008-2011) of work experience as a software engineer (outside Canada) in the past 10 years. I believe the 3 yrs of exp at TCS is the reason for CIC to invite me to apply for PR under FSW category instead of CEC. Is my understanding correct?

    Language - 21/28 (Speaking 6.5, Listening-7, Reading -7, Writing -7)
Education - 23/25 (Masters at Canada, Bachelors at India)
Abroad Experience - 11/15 ( 3 years continuous experience outside Canada)
    Age - 12/12
    Arranged employment-0/10
    Adaptability -10/10
    Total - 77/100

I found this link from Q&A http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1132&top=29. Pasted the content for ur suggestions.

I have been working in Canada for the last six months but didn’t get points for work experience. Why not?
Under the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), to be awarded points for skilled work experience, you must have been:
-legally allowed to work in Canada in one or more jobs listed in Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A or B of the National Occupational Classification; Systems engineer
-working full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), meaning 30 hours of work per week, Worked 40-45 hours per week
-working for at least one year in the 10-year period before the day we assign you points. Worked for 3 years continuously outside Canada

We do not count work experience if you were:

-studying full-time while you were working,
    -self-employed, or
-not legally allowed to work in Canada

Please note: Work experience does not need to be continuous to get points under the CRS. But, to qualify under the Federal Skilled Worker Program, you must have at least one year of continuous full-time paid work experience, either in Canada or abroad. As you mentioned earlier and according to the above note, CIC will consider my Canadian work experience for CRS points in the following manner

    Job1 : Aug2015 till date (900 hrs) - I am on Postgraduate Work Permit
    Job2 : Mar2015 to Jul2015 (800 hrs) - self employed but received
    Job3 : Mar2015 to July2015 (360 hrs)
Job4 : Sep2011 to Dec2014 (1600 hrs of Teaching assistant and research assistant part-time continuously)

Does CIC consider self employed experience for CEC? They are not accepting for sure
Does CIC consider self employed experience for FSW?
Does CIC consider self employed experience for CRS points?
Do I need to list all my Teaching assistant and Research assistant experience in the work history section or not?
Kindly refer this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=855&top=29. Does CIC consider continuous TA and RA experience for FSW?
Does CIC consider continuous TA and RA experience for CRS points?

As per the ITA, I received the below components.
    Age-100
    Education-126
    First Language (new IELTs)-96
    Second Language -0
Canadian work experience - 35 (How I would have received 35 points without considering self-employed or TA&RA?)
    Spouse education - 10
    Spouse First Language -16
Spouse Canadian work Exp - 0
    Skill Transferability- Education -50
Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience - 50
    Total points score -483
