Hello, i would like to ask everyone, if it is likely a refusal, how long they gonna send a refusal letter after showing Decision Made on Ecas?

The application is under spousal sponsorship. The status online (ecas) is already DM for almost 3 weeks now. But havent heard anything yet. Do they send a letter of refusal right away after DM?

Thanks everyone!

If there was no conviction, then why do you assume it will count against you.

I cannot comment further because I do not have details of the case and what the procedural fairness letter sought to portray.

Let us know what happens.

Yes, there was no conviction. He was not found guilty and no arrest made too. The case was dismissed due to misapprehension of facts, meaning the complainant lied about it . The complainant signed an affidavit too not to continue the case . If it is converted to canadian law, it is assualt causing bodily harm. am just worried because the procedural fairness letter saying that he is criminally inadmissible. But we sent submissions with every detailed explanation about it together with the supporting documents. Thank you for taking time to reply @ Russ

Ohk.

There is nothing to be worried about. If the complainant lied and the case was dismissed, then I do not know how it will count against you.

Everything was premised on a lie. It is the same as 'it never happened'.

Please keep us in the loop till then end.

I am sorry, can you please help me understand what is paper based? Thank you!

If your application was before January 2015 (pre Express Entry).

Hi @ Russ,
I would like to ask another question, how true that if it is Decision Made first on the applicant's status before passport request, it is possible a refusal? Thank you!
