Hi every one! I sent my spousal sponsorship to Mississauga on September 14 2012 and on November 1 2012 they sent me an approval email that I met the eligibility as a sponsor and my application was sent to Kenya Nairobi for final processing. my status was in process from November 1 2012 till last tuesday now it says Decision made because I filed everything with medicals at the same time but when I click on DM nothing has changed yet. Anyone with leads? when I click on Decision Made I still see : We received your application to sponsor XXXX XXXX on September 14, 2012.

You're in the Sponsor's side of ECAS. The decision has been made on stage 1, your application for Sponsorship. Now you have to sign in as your partner, the sponsored person, with their name and the File # CIC gave you in your Sponsorship Approval letter. Then you will see how stage 2 is processing, although they don't usually update anything until the very end of the process.

On your sponsor approval letter they should have given you a File # that looks like F000123456 - Use that if you didn't already, then select the option from the drop down menu that says Identification Type - Immigration File Number / Application Number

Oh thanks Stephe C, I tried with the Fxxxxxxx number and her details it says only: We received your application for permanent residence on September 14, 2012. and there is no option to see if it still in process or DM.

Ours says the same thing I think it won't go to "in process" until after your passport request.

Only if I enter ECAS with the Sponsor's information do I see DM, which only appeared after sponsor approval, and only refers to their decision on sponsorship approval. They will only put DM on the Applicant's ECAS at the end when they are ready to issue the visa.

I see your VO is Kenya Nairobi - the average processing time there is 29 months. Starting from November 2012 when you got your Sponsor Approval. I'm sorry to say you shouldn't be expecting any news on ECAS for quite a while.

Set your watch to 2 years from today, that's when you should be expecting news

Thanks for this, I just tried and checked my wife's name and hers is in process as of yesterday, woo hoo!

Steph C I think I explained it wrong at fisrt time, I got someone from CIC explain it to me. It shows under Sponsored Pesron's name when I log in Ecas with my UCI because I am also the Representative of the Sponsored person. He said mine should be said DM long time when I got approved since I have not paid the Right permanent Residence the visa has been hold until it is paid and there was no need to send the passport because the Sponsored Person is an Asylm Seeker in the country she is living instead the visa will be affixed in a one way travel document delivered by CIC once I paid the RPR which will done tomorrow.
