Decision made without passport request...means Denied???

Hi!
Sorry if somebody read it already in a different post, just freaking out... ??? Is decision made without passport requested yet means - denied.. or I still should have a hope??? and PPR will come with a letter?
I'm so scared - we sent some documents requested during the interview to the visa office via e-mail 5 days ago. In the letter I asked whether those documents are sufficient. No response received from the embassy. Today I decided to call them and ask. The lady on the phone told me that couple days ago decision has been made and they sent a letter to my husband. She couldn't disclose the information regarding the decision. The mail would take couple weeks to arrive. I'm so nervous.... Not sure if I can rely on her comment - "everything is fine" as "approved"... would like to, but can't... How do they usually request for passport? Why they didn't requested it (if positive) via e-mail? Any thoughts???

By the way no updates on e-cas (not even about our interview).

The response decision made could very well be just a letter requesting the passports,or a request for an interview.Dont freak out yet.
Some visa offices send emails others send mail and some have even phoned requesting passports so relax till the letter comes.
I know it drives everyone crazy when they say decision made and wont tell you what it is,but if she said everything is fine it is either one or the other PP request or interview.
So lets keep fingers crossed.

Hi Kolibri. I'm sorta in the same boat as you except that my ECAS changed to 'Decision Made' this past Tuesday, but still, same thing, we know a decision has been made, but we have no idea what that decision is until we get the freakin' letter! Sometimes, ECAS isn't updated so I wouldn't worry about that. Mine doesn't say 'medicals received' which has me a little worried, because usually, it says this, (medicals rec'd) along with D.M., when one is accepted. I'm going thru the Paris Visa Office and I emailed them yesterday, asking when they would request the passport, etc., as my husband's medical expires on July 29th, and we need to know whether we need to re-do this or not, but like I figured, I didn't get a reply. If the lady at the Visa Office told you that 'everything is fine', I would try to hang onto that and believe your husband has been accepted. I'm trying to stay positive myself, that my husband has been accepted - no point in worrying ourselves to death over something, when we could very well be worrying for nothing, right? We already had one interview, and they told us that are not going to ask to come again.
Was freaking out just because they invited my husband to interview via e-mail, and other correspondence was done thru e-mails as well. and now they sent the regular mail...suspicious....

Tunisianbride, thanks for the info! It just good to know that I'm not alone ) My e-cas says medicals received but this it was saying from the time sponsorship application changed to in-process. Nothing else. We received request for interview via e-mail. After that sent some additional documents thru e-mails as well.
Just based what I read online, it looks to me that passport request is done before...maybe its different for different visa offices, but anyway I'm not loosing my hopes yet Just amazed how cruel the system is! One can get a heart attack waiting for news. Imagination has a big power

You're right kolibri, it 'is' different from visa office to visa office. You need to find someone from the same visa office to find out how they do things. I know that Manilla requests the passports up front, at the beginning of the process, but most others don't do it until a decision has been made. And I have to agree with you about how cruel the system is! I was getting chest pains Tuesday from all the stress after reading 'Decision Made' on ECAS, (didn't expect it so soon after my hubby's interview on May 5) and not knowing what the decision is! I'm okay now - trying not to stress so much - not healthy. Let me know how it goes with you, and I will do the same, okay?

Rocky636! Why would you say this to kolibri? You don't know the answer anymore than anyone else does! (except God and CIC) And 'what' is UN natural??? Kolibri - don't listen to this person - in my heart I believe the answer is 'yes' for both you and me!

Like i said the woman on the phone said everything is fine,if it wasnt she would have just said nothing to you,dont get worried too much just wait for your letter.Sometimes they like to respond to your emails by emails,and anything offical they seem to like to send it to you by mail,more so something as important as a passport request,so hang in there we are all hoping for you with you.

did u get an email reply which u sent to cic ? i sent them an email about a week ago but no reply yet. I got approved in cic london in may 2010 but was told to wait 4 to 6 weeks for a passport request but after spending 6 weeks no email nothing, they are not replying to my email either. u fink i should be worried about it?? any 1 who have had this expeirence

But one strange thing happened, I got an computer automated reply from them this time, confirming receipt of my email, which I never got before! Strangeee....makes me wonder if they got all the other emails or not, or if this is something new they started (???) Still haven't got my CAIPS notes either which I ordered almost 6 weeks ago.

Anyways, congrats on the approval! As far as the passport request taking longer than they said, that certainly isn't unusual for the government - at least you know you're approved, so I don't think you need to be worrying about anything. You will get the passport request any day now, I am sure.

We got our Caips notes in exactly 2 months.. so wait for then a bit more.. Was ur check encashed if u send one?.. or did u recive any mail from then that they have received ur request?
