Oh really. I wonder if I should have got an email about the passport then? Cause I have not received anything yet asking for passport. Any idea on their time of waiting for correspondence ?
For visa-exempt passports, they don't need to put anything in there. That's why you don't have to submit your physical passport to CIC during the application process. You just get 2 copies of a paper called Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR) in the mail. This is your landing paper and has some data about you. You give these to immigration when you want to land and become a PR/colin_slaven1988 said:It says I am exempt. So I don't know what to expect I guess. They need to put something in my passport that says I have permanent residency though right ? I am also right in saying that is what copr means? Sorry I'm new to these kind of forums.
so it appears mississauga is doing it a bit differently than other visa offices, changing to dm then sending ppr. yes, the fact they are asking for your passport copy and 2 pictures is a good sign. they need those in order to issue your copr.colin_slaven1988 said:Hey guys . Said I would keep you posted.
Passport copy request came today. That's good right ? Loll so they just wanted a copy of passport , 2 new pictures and conformation of address and height etc... I am sure this is good . Was just expecting a copr though ? Guess that's coming next ? Anyone know how ling that takes ? Missisauga did good!
for ottawa, yes. all visa offices do things differently, so it's not unusual.colin_slaven1988 said:Ah it's normally in the other order ?
