Saw in other thread someone from Montreal who passed test 3 weeks after me (single case as me) and he got his oath date. Really don't understand how there queue works. I thought once there was a DM then it should have been done in order

Same thing no news for oath , 3 month exactly already passed , Montreal office , Family file so no difference between family or single . I know a family did the test 2 days before me and they received the oath invitation letter 17 days after test also Montreal office . But pls guys keep it on and pls inform update us in future if anything recieved with timeline .

Same boat here. DM end of July and no news since. It's very frustrating that there is no transparency in the entire system. Just a black box with as little information as possible.

And who came up with this "Decision Made" idea? They tell you they made a decision but they don't tell you what it is. They're playing some kind of a game letting you guess :)

There is never a "Decision Made" when it is a negative answer. Before the final denial of citizenship you have to go through RQs, Judge hearings, appeals, etc.
So, if it is "Decision Made" after test, it is a positive one.

I agree with you. It's however based on people's experience, it's never mentioned clearly anywhere. In fact, if you look at the website it's not as positive:

DECISION
MADE

If you meet the requirements, you will be invited to a citizenship ceremony where you will take the oath of citizenship and receive a certificate of Canadian citizenship.

If you do not meet the requirements, you will be informed in writing.

So technically, you don't know what the decision is until you get some kind of a letter months later... very heavy ass-covering and no accountability whatsoever. Why are certain files moving faster than other? Only God knows... maybe :)

I'm in the same boat. Gave test in July, passed with 100%. Got DM soon after. Still waiting for oath.

Someone else who gave test on the same date as me has already taken the oath a month ago.

Dont understand the system!

He was very nice, he congratulated me after interview and told me to expect oath between 1 to 3 months. According to cic call center, it doesn't matter what the officer says, even if he told me 1-3 month, it can take more. I will call them tomorrow.

I don't like calling them at all believe me. But you might get lucky with an agent who is actually helpful.

I never called them,
When I have a hard question I will:

1. ask here in the forum/or
2. ask my lawyer/or
3. ask my grand mama/or
4. Flip a coin

I never thought even for a second to call the call center, Because it a waste of : time/energy/tax dollars/my inelegance

I actually called them when I crossed 3 months after test. Better to call and ask than wait about it than wait and wait and at the end it becomes ur fault for not calling. A lot of people don't receive letters and don't get the ECAS not updated. I want to make sure I am not one of those people.

Relax, Its a free country, your right is to call them, and their obligation to help you, and there is a lot of logic in your words,
All I said is, that I personally - after reading here what the call center is- think that this is a big time tax dollar wasting.
