Decision Made: requesting for original passport does this mean visa already??

hi guys, i applied for visit visa and they requested for my original passport. does this mean visa is granted?? hope it is.. but dont want to keep my hopes up. any similar experience?

where you apply from and what is your nationality if they required the passport visa is granted,

i applied online. and im a filipino citizen. actually my husband is canadian so we have an ongoing spousal sponsorship application. since it will take more than 1 year for the processing time for spousal sponsorship, we took the risk and tried to apply for visit visa. i submitted it online last night then today i received that letter stating that decision has been made and they need my original passport to finalize the process.

still waiting anmol123. The VAC received it friday afternoon so probably they started processing it monday already. so maybe 2-3 days processing before they will send it back. hopefully i can get it this week

Same thing with me! A Filipino with a Canadian husband. I have submitted my application online too.. They are requesting me to submit my passport along with the letter they have sent me. I do sure hope that my visa application is approved! Yours was quick! I submitted mine last Jan. 21, 2017 and have only gotten a reply from them asking me to submit my passport today (Jan 31, 2017) I too am in the same situation, my spousal sponsorship is currently ongoing and have tried applying online for a visit visa so I could be with my husband. Namimiss ko na kasi.. super. hehe Visa na kaya?? Have you got yours already??

Anyway, what did you include in your mail besides your passport and email letter from CIC.
I know we need to pay a fee via manger's check, is it the Php543.15 for Secure transmission of passport to the Embassy of Canada in Makati City, Philippines upon request by visa office (for example, electronic application) — Price per Passport ?

Did you also pay for the P293.95 for Courier Delivery of Applications to Applicant?
And also, how are they giving back your passport, did you send a pre-paid return envelope from 2GO?
