Hi, i have applied for PR under family sponsorship (spousal) as a offshore applicant.

I have just received notifcation that a decision had been made. I have also received an email asking for a photocopy of my passport (photo page) and the aforementioned letter with some biometric info and also 2 passport photos.

I need to submit these to the sydney processing office.

Can anyone tell me whether i can send all these info electronically (via email). Or does it have to be hard copy?

Cheers

If they're asking for photos, they need the physical photos. They are attached to your COPR, so unfortunately, you cannot send digital copies.

and if they are only asking for copies of your passport, then sending it electronically is fine. you can just reply to the email sent to you and attach the scanned copies.

as the other person mentioned, if they are asking for you to supply new pictures, those have to be physically sent to the vo.

Hey mate, I see you're a Kiwi too. Got the same email I think, any idea what 'amendments to passport' pages that need to be photocopied are?

Thanks for that,

I replied to the email sending what was requested. my issue is that I am in South America at the moment and I am unable to include a ´return envelope/ courier´ to the Sydney office that will get my documentation back to NZ. I have been to DHL and asked if I could include a prepaid bag but they said it couldnt be done as it wont be recognised by australian post.

Does the Visa office send a COPR original or if passports are not required (just copies like in my case) can they send a letter via email? all correspondance to date has been via email. nothing in the post.

Kiwi01 - i am pretty sure that i dont have any amendments to my passport, the only changes to the passport are entry and exit stamps which i dont think would classify as amendments.

The COPR has your pictures attached to it. It must be the original document, so it cannot be e-mailed.

Mail your stuff to a family member in NZ and have them mail it out with the return envelope.

Also, for the updated information chart, I just filled in my details (applicant) and thats it. I see there is a spouse/partner part, I assume thats only if I was coming to Canada as a PR and bringing my spouse with me right? No need to fill her details out since she is the one sponsoring me right?
