Decision made - question

I have a question regarding "Decision made". I checked my common-laws application processing and it said that decision has been made. They never asked for an interview, and all they really asked for was my common-laws medical again---i think due to the time it took to process the file. I cannot help but feel anxious. Will they ask for an interview once a decision has been made, or once a decision has been made there will be no interview? Do you know the amount of time it takes before they get in contact with us, and in what way will they get in contact with us? Thank you. This anxiety is killing me. :-[

I'm pretty sure if the decision is made, then the decision is made! lol If they are going to ask for an interview then they wouldn't make a decision yet, only after the interview.

You can ask for GCMS notes though, it might give you more specific information while you wait for someone to contact you.

General rule is that if there was no interview, and there were no specific concerns brought up by the VO that they asked you to respond to (i.e. if they had doubts about proving cohabitation and asked for more proofs).... then it's practically a guaranteed approval.

Before they reject anyone, they will always give the chance to address their concerns first.

Now you just wait a couple of weeks for applicant to get decision in the mail, which should be acceptance and COPR documents for landing.

I applied for Outland sponsorship. I assume that they made a decision --accepted or denied, I was just curious if they still did interviews after a decision was made. Sorry, i framed my question incorrectly. I'm just worried that because they didn't ask for interview it might be a "NO" decision.

Thank you. This relieves a lot of anxiety. I'll just try to stay positive and continue to wait patiently. Thank you so much.

Just to clarify, it is the opposite. If there was no interview, that usually means a "YES" decision. The vast majority of applications from visa-exempt applicants don't require interviews.

Is it possible for my common-law to come here and than send her Passport, if they ask for it? She was planning to come visit and has bought the ticket already.

I would not trust on-line updates - sometimes it's just ecas error. Phone the call centre, they might be able to give you updated info.

Your partner is visa-exempt, so they will not ask for her passport. If they were going to ask for passport, they do it BEFORE the "decision made" status.

They will send her the COPR documents though. Most likely it's already in the mail to her address. What is the date of her airplane flight? Hopefully she gets COPR docs in the mail before, so when she arrives in Canada she can also officially land as PR.

Her flight isn't until mid-April. so I assume that be should ample time for it to come in the mail. Thank you.
