Hi,
I have just found out the status on e-cas has turned DM, but I haven't requested for medical by CIC yet. Also they have updated on the timeline mentioning,
"We sent correspondence on November 10, 2015 about the decision on your application''.
I haven't been contacted by CIC ever-since I applied which was in December 2014 and also I submitted my file through a representative (immigration lawyer). Does this necessarily mean refusal? I am so sooo worried! Any helpful insight will be much appreciated.
Thanks!

DM before Medical request is not a good sign.

I understand its not a good sign! But can you please give some insights? Is there any chance it to be a online glitch?

chances for online glitch are only 1%, as you said it already mention on ecas that CIC contacted you on 10-Nov,DM before Medicals will leads to rejection, Did you contact any previous companies that CIC did background check or not.

Glitches are very rare after AOR. I did not mean to disappoint you but there may be some kinda gap in your application or your background checks not syncing with your application.

Well.. What the members are telling here is valid and correct. DM before meds is never a good sign.

I am very sorry !!

Your application might have been incomplete and that is why they might have rejected it right away. Try to get GCMS notes.

I haven't received the correspondence yet, it should be arriving soon in hard copy.
But I am really worried as there was no previous notification from CIC. I have attached my police clearance at the time of submitting the application, and if there was any gap, shouldn't CIC at least inform me about the gap before making any final decision to refuse the application. The immigration firm that I have been using is a member of Certified Fraud Examiner. The status was " In Process " until last week and there was no email or correspondence in between. Any hope?

Well, I'll be honest here and say please do not expect anything with this. When you receive the letter, you will be informed the reason for rejection. I am sorry but I'd say it is extremely unlikely for this decision to be positive. :( .

That is the issue with CIC. For most applicants, if the documents are missing, they reject it right away. They don't give a second chance. It really depends on the officer handling your case, you know. They can issue additional document request if they want to but unfortunately, for most applicants who submit an incomplete application, there is no second chance :( . Please don't give up because of this. You can try entering the pool again and try to get another ITA. From next time on, I suggest you NOT to use a consultant. This process is kind of straightforward and you will get all the help you need right here in this forum.

So, I wish you all the very best! Good luck! Keep us posted!!

Like other members said, having a DM before MR is generally not a good sign. However, errors do happen. All you can do now is wait for the correspondence to confirm it. From what you said, you haven't received any correspondence since your submission in Dec 2014. Can you give us more info on the timeline? When did you get PER and AOR? How did your eCAS look like before this recent update?

Hi,
Many many thanks for giving some hope! My timeline is showing as below:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on November 4, 2014.

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) March 9, 2015.

3. We started processing your application on January 20, 2015.

4. We transferred your application to the Singapore office on January 28, 2015. The Singapore office may contact you.

5. We sent you correspondence on November 10, 2015 about the decision on your application.

I still can log in to ECAS and the status is showing 'Decision Made'. The status was "In Process" just prior to this recent change.
Please note that I haven't received any kind of email or correspondence ever-since I applied.
Though my consultant firm has advised me that this often happens ! May be this was an online glitch! ( but frankly, I don't buy the idea of being it "a glitch" )

Judging my situation from above, any helpful opinion or information will be appreciated very much!
Thanks!

Dear Tanveer,

It is your consultants job to keep you informed. They have to contact CIC and find out what has happened with your file.

My thinking is that the email was received by your consultant. Try to find out from them as they will be in a better situation to find out.

Hope this helps and pray for a positive sign in your case.

Regards

I think your agent must have received the emails first from CIO about your eligibility and then from VO on acknowledgement of receipt. It's impossible that they received nothing. You should talk to them to understand what has been communicated to them. Ecas indicates that there have been communications with your agent. They can't say they receive nothing since your submission. If they are a certified agent they should know how to check the info for you I think.
