Decision Made On Common Law Outland Application...Now What?

Hello all !

I would be forever grateful if anyone knows about how this part of the process works as I am getting very anxious.....

I have a question...and I am sure it has been answered alot but here I go anyway. Our package was recieved on January 11th. I was then approved as his sponsor, medicals were recieved and since the middle of March a decision has been made and it says that they will contact my boyfriend soon but we still have not heard anything. Is this normal?? And is this a good thing???

hey,

there are 2 parts on ecas. If it says "decision made" under sponsorship, then it's just the reflection of your approval for stage 1. if you got the sponsorship approval by email, then you won't get anything else.
If it says the same under "Application for PR", then it's the final decision. UNless there is something obviously wrong with your application, it's rather good news that it says decision made, as if they had doubts they would have asked for more proofs, an interview etc.
To be able to see "both sides" of the application on ecas, you have tolog with your file number (Fxxx + principal applicant details), not with the UCI of the sponsor.

Hi Kb07 and Sweden,

I have also Decision Made showing under my UCI because I am the sponsor and representative of the Applicant, on the Applicant's side they have removed the option of

Sponsorship Application Status and they put it on my side and I have been waiting for the letter up to now but an informant from the vo told me that they are working to finalise everything and what I need to do it to pay RPRF. Kb07 can you share your timeline please? I will post mine after yours and I will post more infor about decision made with it both sides.

Hello!!!!

My timeline is listed below. I am sure it is all good...but it gives me so much anxiety waiting!!!

This is what is on my boyfriends (principal applicant) part of the immigration website:



We received your application for permanent residence on January 11, 2013.

We started processing your application on March 18, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.



I was approved as his sponsor at the end of January so this is all part of the Permanent Residence Decision. We also paid for everything up from (application, permanent residence etc). So I am guessing that is now just a waiting game for the govt to tell us their decision!!? Ohhh so annoying!! And the VO for us is Paris as my boyfriend is Belgian.

Don't stress too much. CIC never does two things the same way. If you got DM without an interview in Stage 2, it's almost always positive. CIC usually gives a couple a chance to prove they're genuine with an interview and/or additional documents. The only way they would DM in 99% of the time negative without interview is because of obvious fraud (like you married your sister...ew) or criminal admissibility. If you don't have criminal problems, then be positive!
