You HAVE to take all that money either in cash or dd, travellers cheque, etc, else they send the applicants back to their native country from canadian airport.

You do not need the pcc and for the income tax clearance, never heard of it, please take advice from the seniors. You cant take a cheque from your brother. They want it to be your money. You may deposit the amount in your bank n then get a traveler's cheque against it.

At ur POE u will be required to undergo the following formalities :-

Sr. No The department to report Docs to present Expected questions.
-------- ------------------------ ---------------- -------------------
1. Custom Officer(CBSA) i. PPT(S) Purpose of visit,Amount of Funds.
ii. Disembarkation form(S) Whether carrying any Alcoholic item
iii. COPR(S) Etc.

2. Immigration OFFICER i ppt(s) Will be asked to present all the
ii. copr (s) for individual nd officer's visa docs.
counter signature,one copy will be Arrangement to stay at POE WITH
returned for personal record. LITTLE DESCRIPTION ABOUT ACCOMMODATION.
iii. Proof of address where PR card can If staying with relative,nature of relationship.
be delivered or may be given a piece
of paper to write down the address
for the said purpose.

U will not be asked about PCC OR Income Tax clearance certificate.

Hi GDS,

All you need to stay there is to get your SIN card application done. PR will start automatically. I guess 2-3 days should be fine if you have friends who can take your PR card and SIN on your behalf and later courier it to you, just make sure all of the are working days in Canada.

I will though suggest you have a 7-10 days stay in order to get a fair idea about Canada and understand what you need to be prepared with while next time you land.

thanks everyone for all those who supported me in these so many years finally got the correction done on all my family visa just in one day at ndvo now the challenge is to reach canada before 20th March as we have to undergo a process for getting pr card of my son who is already in Canada God only knows what's in store for us there. But a big thanks to everyone in the forum.

I am also with NOC 4131 and 4121, April 2010 applicant (perhaps one among the few on top of waiting list), waiting for my turn.

TO DREAMLAND,

This is unfortunate that u have been made to wait thus far.Did u have CAIPS NOTES in the recent past ? The very fact that u recvd ur Medicals so late is also a matter of bit concern.I , too, was APRIL 2010 applicant with NOC 4131.I happened to obtain Caips on three different occasions, namely March/April 2012,Sept 2012 nd finally Jan 2013. Each one has some additional information which suggested progressive movement of the file.I append here under a brief, so as to help u understand the situation :-

April 2012 notes :- Points calculated at CIO NOVA SCOTIA,PER ISSUED.

Sept 2012 notes :- Points recalculated by NDVO on the basis of supporting docs,Initial BG CHECKED - POF ND CRIMINALITY CHECK OKAYED-
file moved to ecu-SELDEC ND PSDEC MARKED "PASSED".FRESH B'FD MARKED.

I RECVD medicals with instructions to submit fresh IMM FORMS + pcc in Nov 2013. Submitted all the forms/papers in the third week of Nov 2012.

JAN 2013 CAIPS NOTES :- MEDICAL REASSESSMENT BY MO AT VO REPORTED PASSED WITH RECOMMENDATION TO ISSUE VISA.

Ecas turned to DM on Feb 05, 2013 nd finally recvd. visa docs on Feb 11,2013.

Hope this may give u an idea as to how system works at Ndvo.
