Decision Made limbo - Memorial university fall 17

Hello,
I am new to this forum, I am creating this thread which concerns the applicants of Memorial University of Newfoundland in the Fall 2017 intake who have got accepted/rejected or are still in the dreaded limbo of the "Decision Made" status.
I am an International applicant from India who has applied for the Master of Science degree program in Oil and Gas engineering at MUN (Fall 17).
I submitted my application around the end of march, and it took till April 10th for all of my documents including my TOEFL scores to reach. I know I have applied late, but I still did not receive any Email or post from the University regarding their decision, although the status on the Memorial self service account changed to "Decision Made" 3 weeks ago.
When inquired and requested for an email confirmation, I received a one sentence reply stating "You should receive an update by letter soon" from their staff (someone named Andrew Kim).
I don't know why MUN can't just send their decisions by email first like other Universities normally send. I have tried to know what their decision is a few more times, they just refuse to disclose it on email and their land mail hasn't yet reached here at Hyderabad. Please give me any suggestions on how must I proceed and whether if any of you guys are in a similar position.

U may call them and request them to disclose the decision made. Whenever I spoke to them, they seemed to be highly friendly. Just be polite n ask'em.

By far I have only communicated with them by email, I have not considered calling yet.
Thank you for your suggestion, I will try contacting them via phone

Check your mun email account via gmail
Could you please explain how do I login, I tried logging in with the self service ID but it is not working. I only have access to the memorial self service where you can see your status, they haven't provided me with a MUN account ID. I presume that I would be getting one only after being accepted. Or am I wrong, should I be having access to their mail already?

Access to MUN mail comes only after acceptance.

MUN does send acceptance letter by email and their postal mails never reach India. I have a feeling that you may have missed to check a column to communicate to you by emails. Or, another possibility, you may have been rejected. Rejection emails take time (they wait till all selected students formally accept the position).

If you call them and talk nicely explaining your situation, you may get a clue.

MUN ONLY SENDS THE DECISION BY EMAIL. But it should be the mun email or the email you registered from.

I got accepted but didnt recieve any email. It just said decision made, and when I tried calling them, they dont entertain as it is a private and confidential information. They do send letters at your address but it is unlikely that you will recieve on time because canadian post is very, literally very slow, unless sent thru private logistics.

Register your email and after done, open gmail.com, sign in from there. Mun uses gmail platform for email. Or last resort, speak with Jennifer Porter from International Registrars dept, or call either Peter Gill via 709-864-4039 or Meghan Collett via 709-864-4425 to discuss this concern.
