Decision Made, but

Hello my friends,

I got my e-cas status changed from "In Process" to "Decision made" today, but I when I click to see more details, my timeline shows the following:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on June 24, 2015.

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 6, 2015.

3. We started processing your application on August 18, 2015.

4. Medical results have been received.

Wasn't it supposed to show: "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision." already?

Maybe there is something wrong with my medical results? :'(

PS: I have already sent my passport and paid the fees. I passed the medical tests on october 23.

Impossible to say based on the lack of details you have provided. How have you applied for PR? Which immigration stream? Which visa office?

Unfortunately we aren't mind readers...

Hi Scylla, thank you for the quick reply.

I have applied for QSW. Got my CSQ (Quebec selection certificate) and now I'm applying for the federal visa.
I'm from Brazil, sent my docs to Sydney office and passports to the Consulate General of Canada in São Paulo.

That is normal at times...in as much the first page showed "Decision Made", the details page may not show that. So relax, nothing to worry about. That was exactly how mine showed as well.

It s mean you got refuse base on you miss something that you didn't provide the cic. Maybe they asked you for more documents and you didn't send them, if they say local office call you for interview it s mean you approved but this noticed i got firsr them because I didn't send my police check translation

LOL, you probably didn't get refused. Hopefully this will make you feel better...

I never got the line "a decision has been made on your application". I sat in "decision made" mode without this line for a while, then got my "ready for visa" email and my application was finalised. Got my CoPR, landed, and ECAS updated to say the details of where I landed and the date I became a permanent resident. At no stage did the line you're looking for show up. My status is now "complete" and it still doesn't have that line.

I think you are good. This is quite common that they do no detailed updates. All will turn out to be fine.

I just got the visas today in my mailbox. ;D


E-cas still shows "4. Medical results have been received." only.
So, for anyone in the same situation, e-cas is not as accurate as we think.

ECAS is hopeless. It became clear to me during my process that it's not updated automatically as your file progresses, and it's up to the individual case agent to remember to do it. There's no consistency, and updates sometimes happen months later than the actual occurrence of each event.
