You will get the ITA before the OINP ;). Anyway, it's always better to have direct nomination.

What I can say? waiting from November 18, 2015 (got my AOR)!!!!!!!! :D

I was trying to create a new profile and noticed that the old profile has a change. The minimum entry Criteria has changed to "NOT MET" now. I just received Nomination this morning and was creating a new profile now.

I am hoping this Is not bad news because when I try to create a profile it says "Eligible for Express entry"

Can someone please advice ??

Well you won't get your money back if you reject the application, so unless you're having second thought about moving to Ontario I'd say YES ACCEPT IT NOW!!! Especially because is the cutoff starts to increase then you'll want to kill yourself for not accepting it.

How long can you go without accepting it before it expires? If it's 30 days then you could hold of to see if the cut off will decrease to your score, but that's only really worth it if you're thinking of NOT going to Ontario.

yes 30 days ... ! i can wait for two draws i think .. lets see i am consulting people..!

Hi Guys,

I haven't been registered to Bestofluck's list, but things speeding up so my timeline can be info other applicants.

It was nice to see having the e-mail after sending the additional documents. (updated proof of funds and payslips for 10.2014-10.2015)

I got an ECA request on 06.10.2016 and sent it the same day but no updates till today :(

Still waiting for the decision phase email or additional request if needed! hopefully this all will happen before November starts! Guys how would you know who is your OINP officer?

There are 2-3 capital letters in the bracket in the subject line of the mail. These are initials of an officer.

Dear Arsalan,
Firstly I would like to congratulate you on your nomination.
Secondly, my advise to you is to accept the nomination before a draw comes in. WHY?? think of it from the worst case scenario, what if you get a direct ITA and lost the opportunity of accepting the nomination, and for some reasons your application for PPR was rejected, say for missing documents or so and cutoff score never dropped back to your CRS point, that would be the worst choice you ever took in your life ::)
Life thought me to never leave a chance behind never even postpone it, just grab it up and keep moving man.
Wish you the best. At last it's your choice ;)

ECA request is still a pre-processing request..i.e. the email sent to you is generic and still does not have an officer's name or initials on it.. my thoughts about that since already about the last 10 days of December applicants have been getting this request from 3rd Oct till now (including myself on the 12th), The ECA request is asked in general for all applicants as a step towards getting their applications assigned to officers..so we should all relax and wait.. the upcoming two weeks are our turn (15th Dec till 30th Dec applicants in general except for some applicants we had already sent their ECA or got nominated earlier)

Hello everyone.. I would like to send an email to OINP to inquire about the status of my application, I have received my AOR in August - what do you usually include in such email please? Many thanks.

Hi all,

So I finally received a call from OINP yesterday to interview me and let me know that I would be receiving an email requesting additional documentation. Shortly after the call and as promised, I received an email requesting additional documentation signed AB.

I have been asked to provide 6 months statements from the account in which my settlement funds are kept, which I have. However, I have been asked to explain and provide evidence of a large sum of money which I received from my father.

The thing is that my family holds a investment account with a private company that plays stocks on our behalf, but the account is in my fathers name. When funds are drawn from this investment, they automatically get put into my father's current account. I requested the funds which were then put into my father's current account which he ultimately transferred to my savings account.

My question is this - which of the following 2 options would be better for me to use? Which option would be safer and more of a sure thing going forward?

  • I get a letter from the company who are managing our family's investment as well as a letter from my father confirming that the money is mine and the process it went through to get to my account
  • I simply get my father to write and sign a gift deed and just say that he gifted me the money

Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
