There was a receipt attached to my AOR email but yet they still said it had expired and to send a new one. I did so, so now I'm just waiting to hear back some confirmation that processing has resumed. As BestofLuck said, "GOD KNOWS WHEN THEY'LL SEND THE OLD DD" smh..

yes that is ridiculous. I mean who can give a receipt of money not paid? What happens in Audit? Are they so careless or they really cant handle the situation?

In may case also they issued receipt of payment along with AOR but when , DD was en-cashed only after a few days after AOR, I checked with my bank DD en-cashed date.

your case it was different, you were well within 6 months time. now they dont even deposit the DD. But they should not send a recpt because it is confusing.

It may be a standard reply. Even-though they ask for new DD, we need to check with bank whether OINP already en-cashed it or not. If En-cashed, I don't know whats next step !!

hows that possible ? you have to send a new DD if you are asked to. no other choice. your processing will not start until you send one. How do you confirm you D is en cashed? in India it is not so easy. My bank gave me a DD of Canada bank. They say it is en cashed by local bank. now if OINP deposit the DD it becomes local cheque for them. But Indian bank says money is en cashed. totally confusing.

IF there is double payment they will refund it, but dont take a risk.

Ask your bank to confirm with Canada Bank if your issued DD has been en-cashed by them or not.

They must be telling you that money has been deducted from your bank account successfully after making the DD, which is normal.

Do you think I dint do that? When i say it is not so easy I mean it. They say it takes 3 months for them to refund even if they get old DD back. they will officially confirm with Canada bank and than release the payment. And there is a bit of paper work also.

Why dont you do that for me if it is so easy prashant. go to bank ask them , they will ask canada bank and you get reply in 4 minutes . ha ha ha

I guess your bank comes under Panchayat who doesn't know to deal with customers and to give right answers.

You're smart enough to get it right, you don't need any help. LOL

Also, If one has physical copy of DD then it itself means DD has not been en-cashed. Basic Accounting and Banking.

banks are nationalised what difference it makes with panchayat or municipality. correct your facts first

Hopefully they finish off till the 24th this week so next week they can start from 28th Dec Applicants. DD is expiring on 30th June. Hope they will encash it :-\
