I just received my acknowledgement a few minutes ago. I submitted my application December 21, 2015.

I hope someone can answer this question for me.
My work permit will expire in august but i am planning to apply for another study permit this month to go back to school. How will my change in employment status affect my ONIP application?

Congrats again, your officially out of waiting club.

Thank you, but i'm still now waiting for the nomination. Work permit expires in August.
I have been quite fortunate to have been able to get a 5-month extension because i didn't get the full 3-year PGWP as a result of my passport expiring in March.

apply for Work permit with same employer-paper based application, So you can still work under implied status of applied status and also have application for study permit, just to be as back up !

I already did that and that's why i have till August. My passport was to expire March 10 and so i didn't get the full 3 years.
Can i apply with AOR under ONIP, i thought it was only for the permanent residence applications?

If you already renew your passport you can also apply for the time that is left

Once you get nominated you can apply for an In transit Work permit. In the mean while I think you are going to need a visitor/study visa

This is the first time i am hearing about the in transit work permit. Would you have any links so i can look it up? I will be applying for the study visa this month.

Truly appreciated.

Study permit is fairly simple, you need to get admission from college and show funds and apply from CIC online, u will be issued study permit approximately in 3 weeks.

Hey in order to apply for student permit, do we need to pay the tuition first ? Or we can pay after once we get the permit ?? Can we apply for student permit in restoration period as well!!

You can apply to restore your status as a student. When you apply for the study permit you have to show your acceptance letter from the school and also show you can cover the tuition for the program. For the school you will normally pay a deposit when you get accepted then they give you a schedule fee for when the rest of the tuition needs to be paid.

Hope this helps.

Hi Frankiefun. This is a congratulatory note from someone who is LIGHT YEARS away from you in the order of applications made. I am a Jan 25th applicant. I kept silence in all these threads, playing the wait and watch game, but on your AOR, I couldn't stop myself shouting a CONGRATULATIONS!

It's so inspirational how you kept you faith going. Jan end, February, and March applicants will need a lot of such inspiring AORs to keep us motivated and patient till our AORs :'(

Wish you a very fast nomination. :)

Thanks SandL. Happy to know my story inspires you! Wish you the best as well!!!

You, don't have to pay any tuition fee to apply study permit, if u r already in Canada and showing enough funds. however, Some colleges may demand for registration fee.

Hi All,
My spouse's passport got renewed and I want to update same in EE profile and update OINP.
I was reviewing my EE profile and OINP application but looks like both EE profile and OINP application, spouse/dependent children passport number were not asked.
Can someone please confirm if Am I right or missing somewhere in EE profile and OINP application?

I remember copy of bio-graphic pages for spouse and dependent children were asked to attach along with OINP application.
So just forwarding bio-graphic pages of spouse new passport via email should be good enough? Please do confirm....
