I have submitted my old demand draft to Federal bank for cancelling. Its more than 2 week now, the bank officer said they will check with Canadian branch to make sure no one had en-cashed the same. They didnt got any response from canadian branch so far !! So they told me to wait for their response.
Why everything is dragging like this... Even for my cancelling bank draft, I didnt get my money back, the exchange rate is going down !! Are they looking for that ?

Well it is a rule in every bank. They have to get a reply from Canadian bank. Rest assured you will get your money back.

this is for the 2nd draft they received on 30th June and they sent a receipt for the same on 6th July!!

Thanks to OINP they give 3rd chance to resubmit, as this is not even due to validity problem. There must be some basic problem like Wrong name, amount or Date. Check it with the copy you have and if you find it okay, get a letter from bank that the DD is still valid and mail them. Hope it get resolves soon.

receipt is always to acknowledge the receipt of DD and it is always subject to realisation.
