Thanks for your reply @ateotia11.

Don't know anyone who applied around Dec/Jan. Yeah I think our VO is Pretoria.

I'm expecting to get the PPR by end of March / start of April which will coincide with my departure from Mauritius. I can probably send the passports from there as you suggested.

However, it might pose a big problem to start life in a foreign country without your passport. Would that even be sensible?
it would be possible if you hand over your passport lets say once you reach france (an example), and do not leave france till you get your copr back, just make sure to take another form of identification just in case, you can always explain it to the officials if ever you are questioned and asked for identification

Yeah that seems fair enough. Thanks for the advice @ateotia11

Hello if I am travelling out of country of residence for a week's vacation, are we supposed to inform CiC about it? Also if I get the ppr now, how many days do we have before we need to submit the passports to the VO. We are travelling end of March so want to make sure we have the timelines covered.

Can't comment on the 1st question. For your second question although I can't find anything on the official website, the sample PPRs people shared show it as 30 days.

Hey folks. I'm sure we all noticed the updates on myimmitracker that happen during the weekend. Do you think the updates occurred during the working week and people just happen to notice it on the weekend? Or is it possible that those updates actually occur on the weekend via some automated process from IRCC?

Would be nice to have someone who has updated on the weekend to confirm it. Curious to know whether it's a waste of time to keep checking on the weekend!
