Has anyone else done it online on behalf of their parents ? If yes, please post or provide your update here

I would like to apply for my mum using my CIC account. Is it possible? Please can you let me know bcos she cannot do it herself.

Submitted Online Application Dec 18. both Parents..
Jan 12 - medical status updated " Passed"
Still no updates on the file.
Nearest city for them would be chandigarh.. So let see what happens.

I have sent out an email asking for an update , automated email states takes about 28 days before someone responds if they choose to do so .

They are slow like tortoise. Government type job ;D
Wait till Feb 8th and then take an action. you can use RTI (Right to information) by paying 5$

I did that for my parents. I created a CIC account for them and then applied for them just as if they would do their own application .

its taking long for your application...better do RTI

I called CIC Call center to check for the status of the application. When choosing option 8 for visitor visa, Paper application & online applications after sept 15 , 2015 have not been yet processed and the wait time is 133 days.

That probably explains the delay everyone is talking about. Now that I have this information it makes a bit more sense as to why none of us have seen anything happening on our application ..

I would suggest others to call and listen to the automated message in the event they update it to something else.
