Hi, I have a question about the tracker. There is the section “Details of your application status” underneath that it says: “Find out what your status means” and the “…what your status means“ part is a link. When I click on that it takes me to “Understanding the status of your citizenship application”. I choose becoming citizen and adult and then it shows one of the sections called “next steps”, and it says to check that section regularly, but I don’t see that section in my tracker?
Am I missing something?

No, you are not missing anything. I don't see it as well.
I'm assuming that section will appear once there are next steps for us to follow/do.

How do we know which office works on our application files? Is there going to be an email sent when someone works on the file?

Test email address will have the office name abbreviation.

Do we get an email notification when there is a ghost update or any change in the tracker? Does anyone know?

Email comes for test, oath and fingerprint. Tracker is updated first before email comes. No email for ghost update.

Hi, I got my AOR on 13th Jan and today I can able to create account using my UCI and application no. I have also submmited application for my minor and got application number but unable to create her account. Could you let me know on this.
Secondly everything is "In progress" except Citizenship test and Oath so in this case I am currently at what stage?
Lastly, Under this tracker, what is the meaning of "In progress ecas"?

ECAS is another tracker for paper application.

The tracker didn't let me create an account for two days and then it did. So maybe try again in two days?

My question is that I’m able to create the account however I couldn’t able to do it for my 4 yr old minor.

Hi - I read in other channels that kids accounts don't show any updates if they are under 18 as they are excempt from moat of the requirements like test, etc. I also noticed that a lot of parents are unable to set up tracker accounts for their kids as well. Maybe try the eCas tool?

I just got an automated email "Dear Client, Thank you for submitting your application for a grant of Canadian citizenship. Your application was created in our system on January 9, 2025 and is currently in progress." Is this a ghost update? or I am getting way too ahead and should not be such excited"
