Dec 2023 application stuck at background check, any one else in same boat?

Me, background check done on April 2 (April 4 update in portal) and no other further update.

Congratulations impatient friend. I think we were carefully selected for in-person ceremonies. Met a few people at the ceremony just like us.

To your follow-up questions: You get the paper cert regardless when you attend the oath ceremony and your oath affirmation is done in the presence of the judge.

Try to get to the centre about 45-minutes before. There's usually quite a lineup where your PR card is collected and you are assigned seats.

Got my virtual oath request email today (My processing office was Mississauga), finally. Scheduled for 29th May.

A lot of december applicants including me have been waiting for bg to complete. My file is at scarborough office. Its 2 months since ircc received my fingerprints

Same here, I have no clue why. My partner profile is complete pending oath and she is delayed waiting for my profile to be completed.

For virtual oath ceremonies, all family members received separate emails with allotted zoom seat numbers but the pdf in same email, also says that family members need to be on the same screen. Kind of confusing for me to interpret. Can anybody who attended clarify ?

You can input all seat nos as comma separated for e.g. 45, 46, 47, 48 as your name on zoom and join from a single device.

My background is still in progress. Test was completed on February 5. And I got GU on February 28. Silence since then

It means that the officer taking care of your file is seated on your application.. I have the same issue.. what is your office?
