Thank you Yes it is in Mississauga Office. In the notice, it says if I opt for e-cert, I will be getting an e-cert once they confirm. Will I be getting a paper cert immediately despite of that? (Definitely not complaining just chose e-cert in case I ended up getting a virtual oath)

As far as I have seen you get a physical certificate for in person oaths irrespective of what you have chosen at the time of application.

Sorry for spamming with another question, but for those who got to do an in-person ceremony, do we get to sign the oath/affirmation of citizenship form in person as well or do we get that via email? Just wondering as I just got an invite but no forms to sign yet (except for the release one towards the end of the invite).

Yes as you will talk to oath officer in person.

Looks like Surrey office is really slow. I was asked to provide passport copies in mid-April, no update since then. My BG was completed on March 28. LPP still pending.

We had GU for kids on may 21 and today we have GU for us (adults). Nothing new, still everything completed except oath not started. Anyone in same situation?

Ah look at the impatient me! I received my email invite for in-person ceremony.

Congratulations impatient friend. I think we were carefully selected for in-person ceremonies. Met a few people at the ceremony just like us.

To your follow-up questions: You get the paper cert regardless when you attend the oath ceremony and your oath affirmation is done in the presence of the judge.

Try to get to the centre about 45-minutes before. There's usually quite a lineup where your PR card is collected and you are assigned seats.
