Got the Fingerprint request email today for myself; curiously, not received it yet for spouse. Does this mean only I need to submit? Will they send a request for her later on?

Hi, they usually receive the fingerprints within 30 - 45 days (can happen sooner or later) Earlier BG used to be completed in a few days after they received it (if no issues)
However, nowadays it seems to be the last step at least for some of the Nov onwards applicants. Not sure if it has switched back to the old way i.e. BG cleared once the FP is received.

Hi, I did mine through an agency. Took like a month for IRCC to receive it. I didn't do it directly because I was not sure if RCMP still does it.
Vancouver has 3 RCMP accredited companies. Any feedback on any of these? Which one might be better/faster? How much to they charge?

We also received fingerprint request on Feb 1 and did it on Feb 5, the guy there told us it would take around 3-4 weeks to receive the result but the letter said we only have 30 days to submit them otherwise the case will be considered abandoned. What if we receive the result after 30 days has passed? Thanks
Usually the FP agency sends it to RCMP who then mails it to IRCC. So long as it's completed from your end i.e. you did the FP within 30 days you should be good.
If IRCC sends you a reminder for FP after 40 or 50 days, you can email them the receipt copy (from the FP agency) showing you did it from your end within 30 days. You can also try contacting RCMP maybe in a week or two and see if they sent it to IRCC (just need the DCN number given by the agency)
