Hello folks! Just recieved the test invite! (AOR 18th February 2022). I have a question regarding ID. What ID to produce during the test? They say it should contain the signature and give PR card as an example ID. However my PR card doesn't have my signature on it. Do you think my current foreign passport with name photo and signature is a good alternative? What you all have submitted? Appreciate any information.
My PR card has no signature (I'm not sure if any do). I used it for the test identification and was perfectly fine (details in signature)

What’s the point to request for FP as the background completed?
By BG was not completed until the fingerprints were done. For those that FP is not requested then BG completes without that step.

The fingerprinting does not hamper the test invite process as you can see in my application

You need a photo ID, like

your permanent resident card (even if it’s expired) or
a valid (not expired) ID with your photo and signature on it (for example, driver’s licence or health card)

Thanks for the reply. I am a bit puzzled here. My test invitation says exactly the following:

A photo identification (ID) with your signature on it, such as
o your permanent resident (PR) card (even if it’s expired) or
o a valid government issued photo ID

Did you have the same wording?

Also, the above kinda indicates that I need identification with PHOTO + SIGNATURE. But contradictingly they give PR card as an example identification which does not include the signature. This is what I am confused about. I recently moved so I have my drivers licence with old address and that will take anywhere between 3 weeks - 2 months to get the new photo ID with the updated address.

Maybe I should use my passport?

Thanks for the link. This is helpful. However the wording in my test invitation email / pdf is bit different:

A photo identification (ID) with your signature on it, such as
o your permanent resident (PR) card (even if it’s expired) or
o a valid government issued photo ID

Note they ask for signature and then mention PR card (which does not have a signature on it). Weird!

I provided both sides of my PR and they accepted, last week.

Using PR card is explicitly okay. PR card has no signature, but is mentioned as acceptable. I used PR card and had no problems. My test is marked complete.
