When you login to the tracker on the right hand top corner there is "Updated:" field where the date changes without any change in the status of any activity. That's called a ghost update.

this thread is for december 2021 applicants, not december 2021 AORs.
your question is about process so someone might answer, but rough timelines. you might be better off checking in Oct 21 thread or the spreadsheet(first page of this thread)

Looking for some advice - My PR is set to expire December 19th , with my citizenship process in progress do i need to apply for a PR renewal in case i don't get my invite for oath before December 19th - Anyone has any suggestions or experience in this scenario . See below for my application timeline .
I applied for my citizenship online in December 2021 , AoR Feb 17th 2022 , Background verification completed Aug 30th 2022 , Citizenship test scheduled Sep 16 2022 , Test completed Sep 20th 2022 , everything else in progress currently .

We had similar timeline and still patiently waiting. Tho when I applied for citizenship. My PR card was already expired. I took the test with the same expired pr card. And test was marked completed in Sept 20th. If you may have travel plans then it would he best to renew your PR card.
As far as I know, The PR card is necessary if you are planning to travel outside the country to come back to Canada. If u have no immediate plans, wait for Citi approval and get a passport. I have the same time as yours, I think our DM will be in around December 2nd or 3rd Week.
